What did your comparison reveal?

Just gave this a full listen through yesterday with an old friend. Loved it.

I do like Wilson’s new mix, but, if you have listened to enough of his remixes they begin to have the same “sheen” to them. However, I don’t think it is that much of an improvement to the 2016 mix to warrant a re-purchase.

While I get that this is a film soundtrack to the “concert” movie, I much prefer the track sequence of the other release, especially, Echoes NOT being split into a Part 1 and Part 2 to bookend the movie. The original release is probably my favorite version of Echoes, actually.

McGuinness Flint was a British rock band formed in 1970. After Manfred Mann had imploded in 1969, the group’s latter-day guitarist Tom McGuinness joined up with Hughie Flint, former drummer who had played with many of the big names on the UK blues scene, including John Mayall. Both were heavily influenced by The Band’s music and their album ‘Music From The Big Pink’.

Great comparison. You’ve inspired me to give this a listen. Yesterday I listened to the new release.

Has your watch stopped, it’s evening⌚️

Not in Las Vegas it isn’t, though if you are in a Casino you’d never have any idea what time it was

I don’t have 7.
