Why not to run Roon Core on a commercial available NAS (e.g. Qnap/Synology etc.)?

Roon ARC requires an open port to the Roon Core on the firewall and because of that, I’m wondering if I’m going to use it…

Finally got my set up to work. Since the port is now open on both the ISP router for the wired mesh network and on the access point for the wired roon core, how are we ensuring proper security with that port open? Thoughts appreciated.
