How far is the route?
Haha. I am a fitness rider with a 30-year-old mountain bike. 80-minute ride was the worst. This snapshot (workout details) is more like average.
A normal summer in bits of South Africa !! The difference is we are geared up for it, buildings , malls etc are air conned etc
We have air con in the main bedroom - a must

Hot and humid is the normal summer here as well. What’s different this time is how hot (heat index up to 113°F) for an extended period (2 solid weeks vs a few days here and there), and how early in the season it hit.
Air conditioning is the norm here as well (thank goodness!). Ours decided to die in the middle of the heat wave! Fortunately, it just needed a new capacitor that we were able to replace ourselves.

Wow, just wow! 
This is me, walking with our eldest nephew ‘Alfie’ along the banks of the Bridgewater canal. Alfie is now 19 and much different to the image in the photo…as am I.
Note my retro Adidas, before they were classed as retro cool😎
Edit: Alfie ( left) bumping into Nigel Farage at our local pub, during election day in May. Tempus fugit!
Alfie and his brother Georgie would make great minders. The best thing is that they still say “love you” when they come to visit

I’m getting palpitations from one of the scariest Twilight Zone episodes. Originally it was 20,000 feet and the last remake ended up at 30,000 feet.
If ever there was a reason for not flying…
