Bode’s Galaxy (M81) and Cigar Galaxy (M82)
A pair of interacting galaxies. They are bound by gravity, and the tidal force of M81 (left) has caused an outburst of star formation on M82 (right), which is apparent in the red, flame-like structure right at its center.
