I identify as a 60ish surgeon, living in the US Deep South. I have played with computers since 1975, and have a solid basis of music listening via McIntosh+Klipschorn from the 60s thanks to my Dad. I currently DIY Nelson Pass based amplifiers, and fell in love with computer based audio when foobar2000 allowed the first “bit perfect” playback through a Creative Labs audio card. It has been quite a ride.
