I have retired from full-time secondary school music education and as a former deputy assistant cathedral organist but remain active as a music examiner. I have been into serious hi-fi since my own school days, and have ripped over 3000 CDs onto a dedicated music server now organised by Roon, having migrated from the ground-breaking Meridian Sooloos platform (now largely unsupported). The download of latest hi-res classical releases (mainly late-romantic and 20th/21st century post-Romantic are what I listen to when putting my system through its paces. I try to get as close to studio quality master-recordings as I can.
