I bought my first dedicated sound system in 1975. It consisted of an Advent 300 integrated amplifier, large Advent speakers, Dual 505 TT with an Audio Technica AT13 E cartridge, and a Sony Reel to Reel. My first pair of floorstanding speakers (PSB Stratus-which I still use) in 1990 and have been building systems since then. I have 1 two-channel system, and 2 home theater systems because I don’t seem to be able to let go of “stuff”. Although my vinyl collection is rather small (about 5-600 albums) I have some albums I bought in the early 60’s that still sound great thanks to Nitty Gritty and a Clearaudio Champion Level 2 TT. My CD/SACD collection is about the same size as the vinyl (ripped to a SSD in the Nurcleus) but with the addition of Qobuz it is almost limitless, and I love what the Roon system does. I purchased a Roon Nucleus and have a lifetime membership. Looking forward to using Roon/Qobuz to explore more from the Jazz, POP, and Classic Rock and Roll artists that I have collected over the years.
I am very impressed with the Roon community and happy to be a participant.
