Hi everyone,

My name is Kevin and I am from Singapore. My audiophile journey started with me waiting for my wife in a headphone store which she was doing some shopping. Little did I know that I will be opening up Pandora’s box.

I started reading about headphones and systems. My audio journey was just filed with Bose lifestyle system for the home theatre and nearly every type of headset from Bose. Now, I realize that it may not be audiophile grade.

While reading up on systems did the name Roon appear. I asked many audio shops about it but most have not heard it so off to YouTube and I am now happy I did. It is an experience reading about the musician that you are listening to. I am also subscribed to Audirvana but Roon seems to be the most stable platform.

So I am a happy puppy now running Roon off my 2014 Mac Mini i7 with 16gb Ram connected to a simply Toppings D70 DAC to my Woo Audio WA6 driving my LCD 2, HD650, Focal Spirit Classic and AEON 2 Closed. This is a simple basic system to most of you in this community but I do hope that I keep this passion alive for a longer period than I did with watches. That was an expensive hobby but my wife didn’t mind me spending $40k on a watch as it was the only jewellery a guy can use but I cannot get her to accept spending money on a Chord TT2 and M Scaler.

I appreciate this community as it gives me an opportunity to learn from everyone’s experience. I am very grateful for this and I hope to slowly grow in this hobby.
