I’m a retired man who enjoy streamed music and trying to reach the best possible quality without spending too much cash.
I use an HP RP5800 i5 desktop computer as core, it uses 2 SSD , one for ROCK and one for music (not so many files).
I stream to a Chord 2GO/2YU via fiber through a small 10TEK switch which has 2 SFP ports and 2 RJ45 connectors. One of the SFP port is used to communicate with the MOCK server, the other to communicate with the ISP router via a TPLink media converter. The streamer is connected to the switch via a short RJ45 cable. No “esoteric” components for network.
