I’ve been playing recordings and avidly listening to music since I can remember. Started with portable record players, and noticed that the sound was fuller when I taped a nickle to the head shell as it where. Also had a possibly 1040’s large AM- Short wave console radio gifted from a neighbor. Would go to sleep listening to it late at night at very low volume.

Really got into HiFi equipment in the US Army in Germany, late Vietnam war period. It’s been quite a journey ever since.

I’m at the point now where I can’t go much farther personally, due to reasons of practicality, but music is more satisfying than ever. Thanks to streaming, and ROON in particular, I’m enjoying music favorites, both old and new, as sit back with a cup of tea snd just listen.
