2i used to be a pain are they better now?

I’ve got a 2022 node and a powernode which work really well.
I remember there were issues with the 2i, I was thinking of buying one second hand and wondered if they work well with Roon now?

I think as long as you aren’t using the built-in wi-fi they are fine. I have a Node 2 (not i) and it works flawlessly via LAN cable.

I cursed myself, the powernode just dropped off. :expressionless:
Working on airplay but not RAAT. GRRRR.

I have two Node 2is, they are both on Ethernet and I do not have any issues with Roon. I have only had three issues in three years with the Node 2i and each time it happened was after a Node 2i firmware update. After monkeying with the Node 2i, the issues were resolved, it was never a Roon problem.

I have a PowerNode 2i but it is mostly used with Ethernet. No issues in almost ever, but actually took it out of service today and plugged my MA Mini-I pro 3 in as a pre amp to another amp.
I finally have more systems than rooms :grin:

I would be interested in selling if you are interested and have not already selected one
