Odd Behaviour with Box Set

One for the devs working on the box set update , whenever it comes … I know I am an advocate of not splitting Box Sets into pseudo albums BUT on occasions it is a reasonable thing to do I have some weird behaviour to report I have the Alfred Brendel Complete Philps box (114 discs) most of which are previously released albums or boxes. I have split off individual Albums , re named album names etc . All is well. I removed all references to the big box and its pseudo albums. (db maintenance e…

I suspect Roon is looking for a match based on some tricky track timing algorithm , so it looks and finds the same tracks (from the same albums) in a box rather than a single.

A box like the Buffalo Springfield done is simply all 4 single albums in one box , so it’s likely the tracks and timings are the same regardless of source, so there is nothing to differentiate except the box name.

I did initially suspect some prep work in the lookup ready the Box Set improvement that is promised.
