Not a Roon topic, per se, but a more general audio question. I currently have a number of Roon bridge zones. One zone is actually two separate rooms - the speakers are controlled by a passive box after the amplifier. I could quite easily, and at a cost of around $300, route everything through two separate roon bridges and amplifiers - creating separate Roon bridge zones for these two rooms. Instead of adjusting volume after amplification I could have volume adjusted pre-amplification.
Everything works fine now, so part of me says “it ain’t broke so don’t fix it.” On the other hand, part of me says the audio quality may be better with separate amplification (true?) and I could adjust the volumes of the two separate zones via Roon.
What would you do?
