Adding genres to unidentified releases for them to vanish once it becomes identified

I don’t know where to put this. It’s not a bug or feature request.

Could we change how genres work with unidentified releases. Say I have a number of local files I have added and then I assign genres, when the release becomes indentified the genres will clear. This is highly annoying. Can we please keep assigned genres.

unidentified releases

Only use the file’s metadata. So any genre on an album would be from the metadata on those files.

Once identified, Roon will use IT’s genres, unless you have set the setting on which genre information to use, yours or Roons.

This is found in Settings/ Library/Import settings
