Is the Airplay implementation in dCS products official Apple Airplay?
Or Shairport-Sync implementation? Or something else?
If it’s official Apple certified, is Airplay 2 support planned in current products? Or does that need special hardware?

It’s an implementation of Apple’s code including their security chip. Each product is fully certified by Apple.
I can’t comment on Airplay 2 at this time. It’s something that we are studying, but I can’t say more than that.
