Just a positive mention for Roon. I went to play The Allman Bros “At Fillmore East” tonight as Dickie Betts died yesterday. On reading the biography it was up to date and correctly cited his death, and the cause of death. What a life he must have had.
Credit to Roon.

The band history is a hard read though. I’m not sure any of them will die quietly of old age.
Thank you for the music Dickie!

drummer Jaimoe is now the only surviving founder of the Allman Brothers Band
The band was the cornerstone of Southern Blues rock. While from Florida, they claimed Georgia as home, notably Macon and also famous for Hotlanta.

Dickie, while a fine guitarist and writer, holds the distinction of being the only member of the group dismissed for bad behavior. Wha’s that tell ya?

Superb guitarist. There’s an old dvd of one of their gigs in Germany around 90 maybe. Maybe not
Man oh man he plays amazingly. What a performance.
One of the greats who isn’t a household name.
Another Terry Kath in many ways
