Just picked up an Amazon Fire HD8 tablet with a show dock for just over $50 and I’m using it as a Roon display which sits atop the audio rack.
Since I switched from a Logitech Transporter to a Pro-Ject Stream box and DAC I have always missed the Transporter’s song display. The Fire tablet is a nice replacement. The tablet is actually running the Roon Remote app and is set to the now playing screen. Of course the Fire HD can also be used to control Roon along with tons of other devices around the house.
