Hi, folks. Here is the album I loaded early today:
and here is the link to MusicBrainz:
https://musicbrainz.org/release/ae711b14-a518-4738-b80a-9ce545e1ad05
and Discogs:
Why is it unidentified in Roon?
Thanks!

Thanks Geoff. I did indeed. The album does not show on the list of suggested albums at all. I tried refining search, etc., but nothing helped.
I also tried removing and re-adding the album, and stopping and re-starting Roon server. Again, nothing helped.
Also, an interesting side effect is that I can only see the album on my mac client app, and can not on my iPhone or iPad clients.
That is indeed bizarre - I’ve not seen this issue before at all. Let’s see what the Support folks say…
alright, after removing the album, cleaning up the deleted files and re-adding the album, the side effect seems to have gone, I can see the album on iPhone and iPad clients now. The main problem however still remains: the album is Unidentified.
Might be a bug. Roon, please look into this. We all would appreciate it.
I was curious about this, so I bought and downloaded the album from Qobuz. Indeed, when added into Roon, it can’t be identified (even though Roon knows about this Warner release).
Roon also knows about an earlier release of the performance on EMI Classics, and will only suggest this in the results of the identification search. Strange that the Warner release refuses to come up in the identification search…
Hi, Roon Support. Could you look into this for us? Seems to be a bug.
I am having the very same problem with the very same recording. My cover is different, but that snouldnt matter.
Maybe @Geoff_Coupe or @support can point to the EXACT search term that needs to be entered in album-matching to find this one. That search for album-matching sometimes is still seriously broken, as I pointed out before. It often lists all sort of garbage but not the obvious matches.
I just tried it once more:
The second album on the list attached is a match !! Maybe this will help others as well
IMPORTANT: When searching, the Artist field should only say “Maria Callas”. As soon as you put something like “Maria Callas / Victor de Sabata” or “Callas, Gobbi, de Sabata” or similar, Roon wont find it…
And the Album field has to say “Puccini: Tosca” Nothing more, nothing less.
Thats artificial intelligence at its very best…
With minor adjustments that worked. Thank you, @bbrip!
glad to hear
