Not only Monterey beta. It’s possible it could come with macOS 11.5 or later.
Amazon Music HD’s apps have been disastrous for this same reason for multiple years now.
Let’s hope Apple is a bit better and quicker.
I’m quite sure it isn’t difficult to implement this feature even in the current OS.
And yet, we’ve waited for … what? … decades?
At least BitPerfect app solves this issue in Music for locally played files.

The fact that iOS apps can do it gives me hope that someone at Apple will know how to make this happen for macOS. We just need them to do it in a future update 
I’d be curious if Audirvana can be used as a work-around while waiting for Apple to directly bake this in (since it has itunes legacy mode)…
Thoughts on Atmos ?
Odd that apple has a separate toggle to enable Atmos downloads on top of the separate options for download lossless.
I like it so far… the hearing experience alone. I guess its nothing for purists … but I will have the dedicated spatial playlists on for a while.

I’m not able to get it through HDMI on my Mac Mini to my Denon 3600.
Also only seems to wants to work on Bluetooth and not wired headphone from IPad and iphone.
But then this could all be user error 
I only did a quick Google but if you’re talking about Atmos Music, this won’t work.

I only have it playing on iPhone via a lightning adapter that is compatible , sounds more musical and deeper than Spotify.
Could someone please try and play this for me? My Chord Mojo freaks out after 0:29 mark Can only play this particular track with lossless disabled.
Anything else works fine. For now.
Works for me, odd that a specific track would cause an issue.

And streaming Apple Music ?
Does anyone know if all the tracks that play at 44.1 or higher have this “Loseless” label? I would assume so, yes?
