Arc can only Airplay to Sonos Speakers? Is there a reason we can't connect over Sonos Connect?

So when using the proper Roon app on ios we have option to use Sonos streaming to play to our Sonos speakers, but in Arc, it seems that only Airplay 2 is available when casting to our Sonos speakers. All devices (sonos and ios) are on the same wifi network btw.
Is there any plan to allow streaming on Arc via Sonos streaming? I’ve been using Arc when over at my parents and being able to connect to their Sonos gear direct would be nice to take advantage of lossless.

ARC is intended for the times you’re away from home, so utilizes the iOS device USB connection, Bluetooth, or Airplay. Currently, the only way to experience bit-perfect audio is using a DAC connected via Lightning.
