ARC desktop app

ARC desktop app. I now use Roon at home, ARC on the go and Audirvana at work.

I think there is already a feature request somewhere for this.

Why do you need ARC on a desktop, the normal Room UI app does the same and I think is probably more fully functioned just install Roon on the desktop.

Need extra core, then.

I thought so much, but no hits on search.

Kudos to this!!! I have been waiting for ARC in Windows for a long time. Sometimes, I bring my laptop to a coffee shop and would like to play my Roon collection using my laptop.

I developed software in my free time, and I know that making a Windows app is just a few mouse clicks if you already have the code and front end developed already.

And how well does the normal Roon app perform remotely on your Windows laptop away from home? (Or on your corporate Windows machine?)

I am not sure it does I don’t use it

My reply was assuming a desk top as a tower thing, unlikely to be portable.

I doubt Roon will work, ARC has the out of house code

Based on the reactions I think it is needed to describe more clearly what your request is.
If I understand you right you want the capability in a Roon desktop app to let you use Roon away from home, just like Arc does.

That is why I also run Roon on my laptop. No need for ARC. Even without local music, Roon by itself on the laptop will pick up all my Qobuz or Tidal albums and playlists.

I only use Roon for local files. I am sorry, but I have some very obscured albums which I enjoy. Tidal and Qobuz do not have those albums.
