Core on a NUC 8i7, ARC is current Test Flight version, on iOS (16.3.1). Using CarPlay, but I don’t think CarPlay is the issue.
When I’m out, after ARC stops and reports a poor connection, it won’t resume playback even when cellular signal is strong. (I live in a densely populated urban area. My coverage is almost always very strong.)
When the connection is restored (four bars), ARC still hangs, even if I go back/forward, switch songs, etc. The only fix I’ve found is using my phone to force-quit ARC, and then restart the app.
I’m sorry you have this issue but I will gladly help resolve it.
Can you please provide more information regarding the actions when ARC started to get the Poor Connection?
Maybe you were using other apps or did you get any notifications on your phone?
Also, I would appreciate your reproducing the Poor Connection scenario and providing me with your local time timestamps.
Thanks for the reply, @oleksandr. Well, yeah, of course I was using other apps — using a map is pretty integral to CarPlay. And like most iPhone users, I often have several apps open all the time: Safari, Spark (email), Messages, NYTimes, sometimes Amazon, Apple Music, even Roon itself, etc., etc.
I’m happy to try to help, but I’m not clear on what you mean by “local time timestamps.” Is there a log in ARC that I can find through a system utility? Or are you just looking to know what time it happens? Thanks again.
I’m looking to know what time it happens, you are right
So that I can check logs for useful information.
Also, please pay attention if there are any dependencies between notifications from the map application (like “turn light/left”) and the appearance of the “poor signal”.
