That’s the bug that finally drove me away from Arc, so it will be good to know if it has been fixed.
Saying that I have been enjoying Symfonium enough that I am not sure if I will enable it again
I think this may be alive and well. I started an album on WiFi the other day, drove off so was on cellular, and it only played the first track. The queue showed all the others had been skipped
Yes, that’s the problem, particularly an issue if driving. Was your latest experience post this week’s update?
I notice this a lot. In the car I’ve lost my play queue and have to choose something else or pull the phone out. I can imagine if you make a list and it disappears.
I wouldn’t stake my life savings on it but I believe so.
No going back to testing ARC yet for me then
Roon ARC has become much more stable (and usable) over the last updates. The main issue for me now is ARC losing the queue and or track that was playing between turning off and leaving the car and later restarting carplay when I return to the car. Is there a solution to this?
From discussion with another user who has been talking to support this is something that is being investigated to try and reduce the number of places where this happens
Play queue totally disappears when changing connection yes.
Also it skips hundreds of tracks when losing 4G for like 10 seconds… in my view the only reasonable response to losing connection is to pause. If you can’t get this track down you can’t get the next one either. Skipping tracks just creates work for the user to undo it.
Also it doesn’t display track info at all on android auto (or really work, it needs to be started and controlled using the phone screen itself) unless you get very lucky 1 time in 10 for some reason.
