@Matthew_Bowden1, I have read that sometimes the error message you have showing is due to another service on your network using the same port number as ARC. Can you change the ARC port number shown in Roon’s Settings → Roon ARC tab to something such as 55010 (assuming what is showing is 55000 or 55002, or similar)?

thanks - tried changing it to 55010 and 50000 (it seems to default to 55020). None of them worked. It’s strange, I have been using Arc for a couple of years and have not had any issues with connecting. The only thing that changed was I recently bought a new Mac book Pro and moved my server to this new laptop (my only computer crashed and died).

Any other suggestions?

Not really sure what else to try until Roon’s support staff comments. One last suggestion: Can you set the port to something higher, say 55030, and then reboot both your Mac Roon Server as well as your Rogers gateway?

How do you disable those things? Disable them in the router?

Thanks. I’ll try this.
