ARC routinely overheats my Android phone. Other streaming apps do not. Anyone else seeing this issue?

Me too. iPhone gets very hot and the battery melts.
I‘m not using ARC anymore. Only the native apps, Qobuz, Tidal, Apple Music.

Yep it’s pretty bad for it and battery drain. If you’re downloading a lot of music for offline use then it gets ridiculously hot and tends to crash.
I will try again next month when I have a week in Cornwall. It was a disaster last August so let’s see how it goes this year.
For downloaded content ARC is much better than it was, but not being able to play anything from my library that is not downloaded or stream anything makes it only a 30% solution.
I have used Qobuz for most of today and it has worked perfectly so far, though it doesn’t work as nicely as ARC with my FIIO KA2 DAC, in that the music doesn’t sound as good, maybe that is the re-sampling, but it is quite noticable and a plus for ARC.
Hopefully this will be fixed soon-ish
