ARC shows "Problem communicating with Qobuz" on some EU networks -- Qobuz CDN issue, investigating (ref#JMLBMA)

Hier hetzelfde probleem. Qobuz werkt niet met ARC. Communicatiefout.

Always the same problem with ARC and QOBUZ. Yet Thursday morning and Friday morning I had the impression that it was fixed… Soon three weeks of malfunction!

Thanks for sharing this official update. With me the suggested VPN workaround works. I am in the Netherlands. TIP: communicate not only it is on your radar but communicate pro active the (maybe) succesfull workarounds in your official communications. That is pro active Customer centric behaviour. With such a big issue it‘s also good to communicate in your monthly Newsletter about this instead of only Marketing bla bls bla. Lokking forward this issue is settled asap.

what kind of VPN Workaround do you mean? I have the issue for weeks now.

When I put my VPN on a server in New York USA it works fine here.

Same issue here: ARC unable to stream Qobuz “due to communication issue”.

I’m on a Nucleus Titan, not on Tailscale, not Port Forwarding with a lifetime ROON plan and located in NL. Roon at home is playing Qobuz just fine on my Aurender N20, as is the Qobuz app on my iPhone 17 Pro Max with iOS 26.1 All working fine, just not on the Arc app

I am not amused after going all in on ROON having shelled out €3000+ for this experience.

So this is 100 per cent a firewall issue. On qobuz side. I have this issue now for more than 3 weeks. I’m really ….

I’ve tried the Google VPN with my pixel 10 pro. Worked for one song. Than the same issue.

Same problem for me too!

Indeed, when using a VPN on my iOS device using a USA attributed IP address, Qobuz seems to be working and plays for a number of consecutive tracks on ARC in a row - as it should be. But there is obviously a problem for us not based in the US.

Hi,

I think it’s time to get a concrete answer when we can expect this problem to be solved!

For those who are based in the EU, for a workaround I’d suggest using a VPN located in the UK, just tested and all the tracks play fine with low latency.

But that’s assuming that you have subscribed to a VPN provider for sure. (FYI the one I’m using is CyberGhost)

Alternatively, just use the Qobuz app on your Smartphone instead of ARC until Qobuz and Roon Labs figure out what’s going on and come up with a fix…

tested and validated

I don’t understand why I should use a VPN when I’m paying for Roon, and it lacks basic features that are available in Roon. Maybe Roon will refund us for the product’s non-compliance with the contract? Because this has been going on for too long…

I’ve tried a free trial VPN. Connect to USA it works fine. No issues. Here in Germany no chance. I’m using USB out, so Qobuz App isn’t a full alternative.

Will we see a solution?

I am located in Germany, too.

Thanks for the workaround, with a VPN I can play music from Qobuz in ARC. Hopefully this helps in finding and fixing the problem.

Hello,

When doing some tests, Arc succeeds to play Qobuz tracks when connected to my Wi-Fi home network but fails when not on the Wi-Fi (4G/5G).
