My Roon ARC is no longer working
It worked well a few months ago, but it doesn’t work these days.
First of all, my rune server has completed the fixed ip setting.
If you do the Roon ARC test, it comes out like this.
How should I solve this?
It looks like the uPnP port forwarding configuration requirest is failing for some reason.
Has the ip address of your Roon server changed recently?
If so, rebooting your router and then, when that is back up, restarting Roon Server may fix the issue.
If this does not fix the issue, then you could try turning off uPnP in the router and manually configuring a port forwarding rule to forward TCP connections on the ARC port (as seen in Roon->Settings->ARC) to the ip address of your Roon Server.
Manual port forwarding rules work best when the ip address of the server (the Roon Server in this case) does not change. This can often be accomplished using an address reservation in the DHCP settings of your router.
If you’ve configured a manual port forwarding rule in your router, you won’t need UPnP enabled at all.
If the port test is timing out, there’s usually more than one layer of network address translation (NAT) above the level of your RoonServer machine.
Please supply the information @Wade_Oram requested above at your convenience. The following information will additionally usually help pin down the blockage:
Do you have a second router anywhere in this setup? If so, have you created an identical port forwarding rule there?
Who is your internet service provider?
They may have implemented CG-NAT for your account tier after exhausting their available supply of IPv4 addresses. It might be worth inquiring with your ISP directly whether port forwarding is currently supported at your account tier and whether a dedicated external IP address is available.
