Artist payouts and Roon

I’m curious, and haven’t found this posted in the Community. When we play a track from a streaming service in Roon, does it register as a play in the streaming service thus generating a payout to the artist?

Yes it has to contractually… If you use Tidal you will see you play history in Roon influence their curated music.

I’ve started getting summaries from Tidal that list what I’ve played and how much money has been given to the most played artists

It’s not a lot!
