Advise to update bios with latest download from Asus only because you will probably use the same thumbdrive to flash Rock later onto the ssd. I did it the other way around, no drama but should have updated bios first.
All Bios settings as described in the forum helped tremendously. Followed them to a T and installation was flawless. Running for 4 days and doing MUSE SRC from PCM to DSD256 (even up to DSD512 for tests). Processing works at speed of 3.7 to 4.2 when upsampling to DSD256. Hovers at 1.7 to 1.9 when upsampling to DSD512. Ram is 16GB single channel 5600.

The 1-7 to 1-9 should also be fine for 512 upsampling.
I ran ROCK for years on an older NUC and upsampled to DSD512 all the time with speed consistently at 1.3. And no issues or stutter or dropouts or any problems.
So your 1.7 to 1.9 has a decent bit of headroom and would be just fine imho.
Under Muse I am finding that upsampling PCM source to maximum power of 2 upsampling and upsampling DSD/DSF to maximum stable DSD rate gives best sound. Have you tested the options? I am planning on building an HQplayer upsampler soon to experiment further. I want to improve on the sound quality of my Grimm MU1 network streaming transporter upsampler.
I am ising a NUC15 U9 with 96GB Ram currently

Yes tested every combination my gear is capable of…lol
PCM is just too sharp and brittle for my ears, DSD smooths things out nicely although I can see its not for everybody but that’s why we have options and tastes
