Audio drop outs with HiFiBerry Digi+ Pro

I have recently purchased and installed a Raspberry Pi with a HiFiBerry Digi+ Pro hat installed. It is connected via ethernet to my local network. Roon Core runs on a Mac Mini, also connect via ethernet. The router is a Netgear Nighthawk D7000, less than a year old. Audio files are stored on a Synology NAS which is also connected via ethernet.

I am getting audio drop outs every 10-20 seconds which is incredibly annoying.

I am using Roon DSP to upsample from 44.1 to 176.4 and am also using convolution. The HifiBerry Digi+ Pro is connected to my Naim NAC-N 272 digital preamp via a coax cable (this supports up to 192kHz).

CPU usage on the Mac Mini is low (Roon takes about 10-14%) and there is plenty of hard disk space.

This is unlistenable right now.

I have tried disabling Sample Rate Conversion, still get drop outs (but not as many). Have also tried turning off DSP altogether in Roon - still get drop outs.

Of course, I have also rebooted the Raspberry Pi.

Seems to have stabilised after rebooting the Roon Core on the Mac Mini. I haven’t had to do that before so will keep an eye on it.
