I’m curious whether you could lose fidelity with such a dsp/eq approach and how you’d go about determining if that was the case.

Twice now I mentioned with the perfect combo of lots of DSP headroom management + crap DAC, you could hear hiss/hum.

Surely that is proof of poor fidelity
