What’s happening?

I'm having trouble with my DAC, speakers, streamer, etc.

What best describes the issue with your audio device?

Playing Tidal MQA with pass through to Lumin D3 after a while MQA files with have added static sound to the music. I’ve tried 3 different hardware implementations of core and the issue still happens. The Lumin D3 player is set to full decode. This issue doesn’t happen when using Tidal connect or the Lumin app.

Try setting Roon to do the decoding and your DAC as rendering and see what happens.

  1. In Lumin app please verify your D3 is running Firmware 17.1d (with d suffix).

  2. In Roon, enable MQA Core decoder in advanced setup. Set D3 MQA Capabilities to Renderer Only.

Hi Peter I am using the latest firmware 17.1d and I’m trying that suggestion of Roon handling the decoding and Lumin D3 to only rendering and I will report back after a few days.
