Automatic queue clearing in specific scenarios

The following text is an interaction with a web browser’s A.I. feature.

My Input:
I need to know how to proceed to achieve a goal using Roon software.
Regarding sequential playback, how do I delete my upcoming Queue and continue playback from another album to the last track of that album?

A.I. ~
To clear your upcoming queue in Roon and continue playback from another album to its last track, follow these steps:
1. Access the Queue:
2. Clear the Queue:
3. Start the New Album at the desired track:

My Input:
Let’s say I don’t want to take extra action of using the “Clear Upcoming” interaction. Can the Upcoming Queue not be disregarded by the Roon software?

A.I. ~
Unfortunately, as of now, there isn’t a direct way to automatically disregard the upcoming queue in Roon without manually clearing it. The software is designed to prioritize the items in the queue, and starting a new album will simply add it to the end of the queue.

It’s worth noting that this behavior might be considered a feature for some users, as it allows for seamless transitions between albums and playlists. However, if you prefer a more straightforward approach, you might want to consider providing feedback to Roon Labs to suggest a feature that would allow for automatic queue clearing in specific scenarios.

My Input:
Is an A.I. Fact Check needed?
Roon should add this feature… Automatic queue clearing in specific scenarios!

If you queue an album and want to playba different album instead just use the Play Now option.

It looks like A.I. led me astray on this point. I just checked in Settings - Play actions - Tracks in albums - add next from here and queue from here achieves what I was looking for.
I generally want to hear the current track to its completion and transition to the next track from its start. Tracks In Albums was set to Default. I changed the default setting and included add next from here. Changing the Default setting in Play actions - Tracks in actions was the solution.

Please, never believe anything that „AI“ tells you. If you ask for how to do something in software X, it will happily take instructions from software Y and sell it as instructions for X. This is a fact.
