B&W Society Of Sound - Radiophonic Workshop

As an owner of some B&W PX headphones, I got a load of their Society Of Sound albums as a free gift. There’s some really great stuff in there but, for one reason or another, I never did take them up on a subscription.

This turns out to have been a big mistake as, unbeknownst to me, included amongst the release was a Radiophonic Workshop album, (no.79? Discogs: r9984129). I would literally pay the subscription fee just for this one album! Of course, with it not being a physical release, I can’t get it on Discogs or eBay.

Does anyone know of a way I might get hold of this? Any contacts at B&W or Real World, (who I believe own the library now)?

I’ll keep everything crossed!

Just to add to this tale of woe - I’ve just discovered that the BBC albums of works from the Radiophonic Workshop and Delia Derbyshire that were on Qobuz have vanished… Bugger.

Nightmare! A pretty compelling reason not to use a streaming service.

Were they high res or CD res?

I don’t know what albums you are looking for - but I still see quite a number (18) here (on both Qobuz and Tidal) listed under the BBC Radiophonic Workshop Discography.

Again, a UK user.
