Based on the update to B1663 and then B1665 the RAM usage is further more controlled.
Under B1663 physical RAM usage on my ROCK server was circa 6GB, peaking just over 7GB, but this was after the ‘Scheduled Activity’ processes had run.
The new update took it back down to 3G to 5GB after ‘Scheduled Activity’ with new items to index and process. But now a stable 3GB usage - even after a Database backup activity, after the Scheduled Activity had completed.
Will see how this changes over the next few days or so.
And again, a much better plot of RAM usage than in the past
No database backup undertaken during this period, nor any restarts or updates
So 5.5GB up to 6GB.
3 little spikes - wonder what those are?
Unmanaged vs managed, much more controlled, stable
With 16GB to work from, there is plenty of headroom
Some further physical memory analysis, that covers a scheduled database backup which happened earlier this morning.
This bought the physical memory usage down from circa 6GB to 4.5GB
This drop is mostly unmanaged memory, which is being released as the database backup process commences. There is a spike in managed memory at this time, however.
Perhaps there is some work required to better manage the initiation of the database backup process?
