When using the Play button for the entire album, playback starts normally.
However, when selecting an individual track and attempting to start playback, one CPU core on the server becomes stuck at 100%, and the system stops responding even if left waiting.
The only recovery method is to restart the server process.
It appears that when a specific track is selected, the server fails to generate the playback queue.
Environment:
Roon Server on Arch Linux, kernel 7.1.3
As mentioned in another thread, I encountered a similar issue, but could narrow it down to tracks from a multi-track composition being affected, the moment you start adding them to the queue.
Could you try to verify this, pls, by starting playback of single tracks, which are not part of an extended (classical) composition, with not such compositions to follow on the same album, or from a playlist?
I usually listen only to classical music, so I hadn’t noticed it, but indeed, while multitrack seems to have issues, single‑track playback appears to be fine.
However, when it goes from single to multi in sequence, even if I select single, it won’t play.
