B180 ARC not in German Android Play Store (just a heads-up)

I thought I’d let you know if you are not aware. The remote update arrived quickly though

Not in the UK Play either.
I keep checking and it keeps not being there :sob:

(I got the Remote within a few minutes of the update being available)

The stores are laws unto themselves unfortunately.

Well in that case we need a new sheriff in town

Yes I know but it happened in the past that a build got stuck somewhere and Roon had to do something. Better to let them know rather than have them wondering why nobody’s testing

Still In Review  Been like that since Tuesday. Google says it might take up to 7 days

I didn’t disagree :slightly_smiling_face:
Having been the one xplaining to 18 countries why the new version of in house apps weren’t available I have come to the conclusion that the stores are run by sadists.

Thanks @vova I imagine it’s even more frustrating for you than it is for us.
It used to be Apple that held everything up in review.
Funny how things have flipped

And still no new version in the Netherlands. Difficult to test this way :disappointed_relieved:

Don’t feel singled out, not available in the UK either.

I think Google were waiting for the the Apple keynote to be in full swing before releasing it from their grip on it for the Android platform
(Well maybe wishful thinking)

Still In review

Aaaand Play Store build was rejected for some bogus reason :upside_down_face: Based on our previous experience, it will take another week to sort this out with them, which in turn means no auto-updates through the store.

Apology for the inconvenience, I’ll keep you guys posted.

Boo Google
I moved from Apple to Google because it was the open platform that supported side loading and third party store’s.
Becoming more Apple like these days :face_with_symbols_over_mouth:

I got bored waiting and deinstalled and reinstalled. Not an option for the likes of you on your hols.

@vova is there any way to sideload the APK and still have access within Android Auto?

The APK works fine with AA.

Seriously tempted to go that way again in the future.
Last time I installed from APK and then let it update from the Play Store I lost the 200+ albums I had downloaded. Don’t want that to happen while on holiday, maybe next week I will

Oh yes it wipes everything but I’m stuck at home just having had a dose of norovirus so downloading is as physical as I’m going to get for a day or so.

Well hopefully you will be recovered well before the updated app is available in the play store

I’ve side loaded it and am redownloading stuff
