B225 SDL stopped working

Since installation of build B225 (Android) SDL stopped working.

Nothing has been downloaded (unless sort by installation date works improperly).
I haven’t noticed any deletion neither although might have missed something.

SDL worked more or less fine since B223.
3 Core restarts didn’t help.

Hey @Piotr_Pekala thanks for reporting this.

Some questions to help us better understand:

  • Can you provide a timestamp for when they weren’t working?
  • What were you doing around the time they weren’t working?
  • Was your phone plugged in? Were you on WiFi? Was your battery above 20%?
  • By installation date do you mean downloaded date? Can you share a screenshot of this?

Screenshot of your SDL setting and settings page would be handy please

Thank you!

No problem, answers below:

  • Can you provide a timestamp for when they weren’t working?
Since B225 installation (a few hours max after it was availagle in Google Play) until now.

  • What were you doing around the time they weren’t working?
Nothing special. Starting ARC 2-3 times per day and leaving it in foreground to see downloads page + listening (mainly offline with Android Auto) a few times.
    Yesterday I restarted Core twice.

  • Was your phone plugged in? Were you on WiFi? Was your battery above 20%?
Battery over 20% all the time, on WiFi, some time on the wireless charger,

  • By installation date do you mean downloaded date? Can you share a screenshot of this?
My mistake - I thought about sort by “Date downloaded”

Thanks very much for those.

It looks like you have SDL set to 75GB and ARC has 76GB of downloaded content. When SDL fills up, it stops for now, until the next batch of high-value content. Do you have many manual downloads in there as well? Do you have a larger stockpile of could be downloaded stuff on your Roon Server?

I have 70-80 albums in manual downloads - most of them in CD quality.
My Roon library contains much more (500+ / 250GB+) local albums and surprisingly many of frequently listened to albums are not downloaded.

What do you mean by “next batch of high-value content”?

Got it. Then it seems you probably have roughly half and half mix btw SDL and regular downloads. You also have 40+ GB to spare on your phone, so your SDL, while set to 75GB, has only downloaded much less.

I wonder if there’s an issue with SDL not detecting it still has space to go, when the sum of SDL and regular downloads has surpassed the SDL budget? Let me run this by the team.
