I had an event at my place and decided to try ARC connected via Auxiliary input to a system connected to outdoor speakers. The music stopped playing several times and I had to press play to get it going again. Core on a QNAP NAS, (USB attached solid state drive) Router is Asus RT AC87U. This did not happen when streaming directly from Tidal.
