Back up issue with New Mac Mini M1

For some reason i can not back up to my external flash drive on my Mac Mini. This is the same drive i used on my old nucleus.

How is the flash drive formatted? It may be that the Mac cannot write to the format. Try using Disk Utility to reformat the drive to a Mac compatible format.

Are you also running the latest versions of Roon Core and Remote on Ventura that were released a few days ago? If the drive was formatted as exFAT, some changes were made to address mounting these on Ventura:
