I run Roon ROCK at my home and cottage with one account. I just unauthorized one site when I am logging g into the other site. I have about 200 cds at my cottage and I am ripping them to Roon slowly. Once completed, I would like to take those and have them available at my home Roon also.
Do I just copy the CD-Rips folder in Roon Storage/InternalStorage to an external drive and drop them in the room internalstorage at my other site?
Do I also need to make Roon backup form the ripped cd site and restore that also to my other site?
Since you are talking about a ‘CD-Rips’ folder inside InternalStorage, I assume that you are using the ROCK CD-ripper to rip your albums. If that is the case, then a better way might be to ‘export’ the albums from the CD-Rips folder so that you can a folder structure (of a kind) containing albums with tracks containing metadata tags. This would possibly make importing at the second site more reliable.
You can export one or more albums by selecting them all (or just the albums that you want to copy) and then clicking on the ‘. . .’ menu to the right of the ‘play’ button like:
This will give you a dialog that you can use to select the export location (on the Roon Client you are using - not the roon server) and finally start the export:
