Total genius.
The whole of ‘Bill Bailey’s Remarkable Guide to the Orchestra’ show is worth watching:
I also like the bit where he asserts that the bassoon section of the orchastra are always playing the BeeGees and gets them to play a classical piece repeately each time removing one of the orchestra sections to reveal the bassons playing … How deep is your love.
His ‘assertion’ of the influence of ‘Cockney’ music is also well worth a listen.
Finally, when he talks about major and minor keys and how they sound, he takes ‘The Star Spangled Banner’ and transposes it into a minor key and the result sounds … well … Russian!

He is. A chap who understands music to the roots.
There is a great YT video of him covering Billy Bragg songs (as Billy Bragg) while BB is watching. Very good
