I can’t say whether it would be OK or not Keith. At the time I just figured that if I started with a completely blank slate that would be sufficient and I wouldn’t have a nasty bug from a partial install. It may be overcautious, by all means check with Phil.

I believe the Media Pack will not install unless you have loaded the Windows Experience Role via Server Manager.

Instead of using 2012R2 Standard, I just opted for 2012R2 Essentials as the purchase cost is lower than Standard.

Good point by Andybob to just start over from scratch with the OS install.
