Bryston bdp-1 huge pause between tracks

It must be running something. Reboot it without the updating being on and see if it calms down. What services do you have checked?

Did you buy the device used recently? Might not be a bad idea to refresh the CF card. If you’re not comfortable with that, Bryston sells fresh cards. Easy to replace. Remove top panel, and slide the new one in. Below if the procedure to refresh the card. I buy new cards when I refresh the CF card. I only erase and re-flash the old ones after I know the new one works…

I have the same services checked right now as on screenshot from the previous message: roonready, samba, ifplugged and usb mount. Actually i only need roonready option from bdp-1, can i turn everything else off?

Yes, you are right i’ve bought it used, how can i refresh CF card? I’m from Russia, i doubt i can buy new one here…

Those checkboxes are fine. Try turning them off if you’d like. I don’t think that will matter.
No need to change them. What MPD version do you have checked? I’d put it on the older 17.6 version if it isn’t already there. Same screen as the UPDATE at Start box.

Here’s the Manic Moose guide if you don’t have it.

memory is still 97, i have 0.19.21 version checked

Put it on 17.6. That is older software.

Do you have a drive attached for stored music? If you only using the BDP-1 (for Roon) you could remove it. That’s what the USB mount is for in services

changed to 17.06, no difference, still 3-4minutes pause between tracks

Reach out to Chris Rice or Mike Pickett at Bryston Toronto. If it’s a Bryston issue they can offer guidance. You can also reach out to Roon support in the support thread or by typing @ (AND) support in one term. Afraid I’m out of ideas.

thanks a lot for your assistance!
