Build 1348 - Now a Limit on number of Albums that can be simultaneously edited?

I may not have noticed it before, but there seems to be a limit on the number of albums that can be selected for simultaneous editing.

For example, let’s say I want to display all my non-Classical albums, so I use Focus and get 1357 albums:

Then, I use Ctrl-A to select all the albums:

I use the “3 dots” menu to go to the Album Editor - and voilá - no Edit albums tab?

I have to reduce the number of albums below some as yet undiscovered limit (this is with 519 albums selected) to see the Edit Albums tab…

Is this a bug, or has it always been this way?

Edit: the limit is 1,000 albums - with 999 selected, the Edit Albums tag is present, with 1,000 selected, it is not.

Same on release 1311 to.

I would be more concerned that these albums are considered to be of the “Classical” sorts!

They’re not - they are “Not-Classical” as shown by the Focus selection criterion…

Ah, but of course, sorry! :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

Geoff,

I can’t find it now, but, I believe that limit has been there for a long time.

I wasn’t sure, but it’s good to be aware that the limit exists - it’s not documented in the Help articles (like many of the nooks and crannies of Roon)
