Build 1471 issues on iOS

Having odd behavior with 1471 in iOS 18 - Roon was playing locally on the iPhone. After stopping at the end of an album (Give ‘em Enough Rope), the bottom of the screen shows “Select an audio zone” … and when I clicked it, the iPhone audio was missing from the playback devices.

In settings here is what I see:

So I couldn’t play anything. I force closed Roon, restarted the app, and still not there.

I switched away and then looked again a few minutes later, and the iPhone was back on the list.

I have also noticed playback sometimes pauses inexplicably and when I switch to the Roon app, I see the “Select an audio zone” button and then it quickly vanishes and the phone device is back.

Maybe you need to click on Device setup and enable the phone again. Did you try rebooting the phone? That might help.

If you see the screenshot, the device page shows the iPhone but oddly the device name has been blanked - it says “Unnamed.” I can’t click or type in the field or select and disable or enable my iPhone on this page.

Also, to be clear, I have forced closed Roon Player in this state, restarted, and it comes back in this same state including the function of the settings page.

@Early_Access any response on this issue?

We’re on 1474 now.

I sometimes get this as well, and still with 1474. iPhone and iPad, both with 18.1.

It sorts itself after a while but is mildly annoying

Yup, still an issue. Everything becomes Unnamed on my Iphone as well. My thread here about the issue here: iPhone 11 (as a remote) now causes Roon to break and lose endpoints - #2 by Johnny_Ooooops
