So you need to connect Roon to you Kii Control? You could connect directly to the usb on the NUC but I guess NUC location prohibits this, if so then an Allo USbridge connected to the network gives you a usb output you can connect to the Kii Control, all for around £150 or your currency equivalent.

Try different streamers in your setup. The aries G1/G2 are very good players, but the pi with a digione is also something to consider. And the Kii Control is very well designed so different sources have less influence on the quality than you might think.
At least, that is my experience.
Different floors in my house. They are not close.
What solution did you get at the end of the day? I have a pair of Kii Three’s with Control currently using a Bluesound Node 2 via coax as Roon Endpoint, but I’m curious if connecting via USB will make a difference in sound quality.
