Can HQPlayer be set up on a Nucleus?

I’ve recently purchased a Nucleus and was wondering if and how you can put HQPlayer in the Nucleus since it’s the core. If not, where does HQPlayer now have to go in order to use it with the Nucleus?

No it can’t. On a seperate computer feeding a NAA at your gear.

Not possible until Roon (and Roon OS) perhaps one day integrates with HQP.

Thanks Jeff. I’m fairly computer literate but don’t get that exactly. I bought a Nucleus to get away from using a regular computer. But in order to use HQPlayer, I have to have another computer attached? Not a streamer or DAP?

With Nucleus yes (for now).

With the sonicT i7, both can run on the same single fanless, silent, headless machine.

Thanks, Sean. For me, HQPlayer has been a huge disappointment on many levels, especially on how difficult it can be to implement and use. But I bought it way back when and still stubbornly determined to use it one day!

I love the passion! The things we will do for the music.

That’s the problem with getting away from a general purpose computer. The devices become more specialised

That’s the great thing with getting away from a general purpose computer. The devices become more specialised

The sonicTransporter i7 is a simple network appliance that runs both Roon Server and HQPlayer. It’s very easy to get HQPlayer and Roon running and working together.

No the sonicTranspoter will run both Roon AND HQPlayer on the same box.

Thanks, Andrew.

I have this set up and it works great.
