So, my biggest issue with streaming services is the way they let me organize my saved album library. I would like to organize it as follows: first, a list containing the artists, and when I select one, I want to see a list of the albums I have saved from that artist, and also have the option to view the artist’s full page, but not go straight to that page. I want to access my saved albums more easily in this way. Qobuz, which has been the main streaming service I use, only lets me do this on the mobile app; on the computer, I can only organize my album list by displaying all the saved albums. Even though I can organize it by artist, because it’s such a long list, it’s not to my liking. I’m currently trying out Roon with the free trial, thinking it could give me this option, but it seems to be the same thing. From the Albums tab, it shows the list of all saved albums, and from the Artists tab, when I select one, it sends me to the artist’s page instead of showing me the saved albums from that artist first. Do you know if it’s possible to change this in any settings? I’m still exploring but haven’t found anything like that. Thanks.
This way, it takes me to the artist’s page, which does show my favorited albums, but I wish I had a separate page that only showed the albums I’ve favorited, with the option to go to the full artist’s page if I want. Does that make sense?
That’s an option, but I wish there were a separate option to first show a list of the artists, and then, when I click on one of them, display the albums I’ve favorited from that artist, instead of taking me to the artist’s full page. Does that make sense?
If you mean albums that you have added to the Roon library, then you want the Overview Tab on the Artist page, NOT Discography (which is everything).
I don’t think I follow, sorry. If you are on the artist page, it takes one click to go to Discography (but only if you have a streaming service). It shows you all albums by default and you can click the Library and/or Favorite buttons to show only what’s in the library or what you favorited.
Or stay on Overview and scroll down, like @Jim_F said, then you see only what’s in your library
I understand. Yeah, what I wanted was a way to go straight to that tab without needing to click on ‘discography’ and then on the favorited albums icon. For example, like it appears on Apple Music, where I have the list of artists on the left and the favorited albums of that artist on the right. Or on Qobuz, in the mobile app, where I have a list of artists, and when I click on one of them, it shows me the list of favorited albums, plus the option to go to the artist’s page. I’ll attach images to show what I mean. What you’re suggesting is totally possible; it would just be a convenience for the way I like to organize my library of saved albums.
Got it, thanks
