Can I use a Buffalo HD-LXU3 loaded with 1000 CDs with Nucleus One?

Hello, a newbie here.
I used the Buffalo to load my old Aurender N10. Can I use this to load the SSD I have installed in a Nucleus One - and how?
Thanks

The Buffalo is presumably just a USB 3.0 drive. As such you should be able to just plug it in to a USB port on the Nucleus and add it as a watched folder on your Nucleus.

Thanks for the reply. Can I transfer the data onto the SSD I have installed and formatted?

I don’t see why not. If you have the Buffalo accessible via the network you should be able to copy the files to the SSD. If it was me, I would plug the Buffalo into a PC attached to the network. Then copy the files from the Buffalo to the SSD using the PC.

Thanks very much. I’ll have a go

Dave Gibson, I dug out a 12 year old laptop - took half an hour to log in - tried a myriad of ways to download my cd collection to the SSD in the Nucleus One - finally found a way - 16 hours later SUCCESS,

Thank you for your help, much appreciated. Next step to rip some new cds

Glad that worked. Did they all show up in your Roon library? When I started out on this I noticed Roon is pretty good at adding metadata, but it still needs some work to get everything sorted out. Before you start ripping CDs you might want to double check your library using the Focus function to see if there is any wrong or missing data. Also try sorting in different ways. That can show problems with metadata as well.
